Fly Away With Me

Do you ever have those really (and I mean REALLY) good shopping weekends?  This weekend goes on the books for me!  So many great holiday sales going on- I seemed to find everything I was looking for right away- and at one location, I saved $60 simply by asking for a coupon!  Since I completed a certification for work this past week, I decided to treat myself to the below two Michael Kors pieces- all together under $300! Inspiration

I was inspired to create this outfit when I saw this post on a fellow blogger's site.  One reason I love blogging about outfits is because it gets me to try things out of my comfort zone.  I would not have thought to put all these pieces together but I was very pleased with the result!

Secret Agent

My department decided to throw a party at the office this week to celebrate 50 years of James Bond and raise money for the LA Food Bank.  After a very successful event, we raised over $2,000 to send on behalf of our company! :]

In staying with our James Bond theme, I wanted to make martini cupcakes (shaken not stirred), so I found this recipe online to make Lemon Drop Martini Cupcakes! 
*Baking Note: I added Vodka in the cake as well. Filling the cupcakes at 2/3 full made them pour out a bit, so I would recommend filling 1/2 way and you can get more than 24 out of the batter.  The icing is also really thick, so keep adding vodka and half & half!
