Cupcakes for a Cure

What an empowering day.  I gave a speech in front of my entire office of 300+ people raising awareness for ALS.  Then, I sold cupcakes that I made and took all my profits and gave them to the ALS association.  Today felt amazing :]  To read more about ALS, click here.

Can you believe today's the first day of fall?  I can't, so I spent it sailing the Newport Harbor on the new boat my boyfriend bought last week!

Last day of the conference, thank goodness!  I'm drained and so thankful it's Friday.  I got really lucky today and won $100 at one of the raffles! :]  New shoes here I come!

Business Pop of Color

I'm going to be at a work-related conference in Dana Point the rest of this week.  I used to HATE dressing in business clothes because I thought I could only wear black slacks and a conservative, boring top.  Then, I stepped out of my bubble and realized if I can wear bold colors everyday, then I should be able to wear bold colors at work events too!  Plus, at these types of events where you meet hundreds of older business people in their boring suits, its fun to stand out and be remembered :]

White After Labor Day

Happy Tuesday!  I did it.. I wore white after labor day and I don't care.  It's been so hot lately I think it's only fair :]

By the way, I wear two charity bracelets every single day and never take them off.  One for Breast Cancer in memory of my aunt and one for ALS awareness in honor of my dad.

*Fun Michael Kors Watch fact:  The same company makes MK & Fossil watches, therefore the same company fixes both brands.  If there is something wrong with your MK watch, you can send it to Fossil with a $30 check and they will fix ANYTHING.  This watch was bought on ebay for really cheap since there was a chip on the face- sent it in to Fossil and $30 later, I had a brand new MK watch :]

My First Post

Eek, my first post! This is so exciting. I've been following fashion blogs for the past few months and it's really inspired me to step up my wardrobe. It's also been really fun to see what everyone's wearing and get ideas when my creative juices just aren't flowing. I hope I can inspire someone to try something new!

Now, I won't have professional pictures. And let's be honest, I probably won't have a post every single day (although I'll try my best!)
